Kawasaki Revives Its Supernaked Legacy with the 2026 Z1100 and Z1100 SE

Kawasaki has officially unveiled its newest supernaked bikes, the 2026 Z1100 and Z1100 SE.

Kawasaki Z1100

The Kawasaki Z1100 lineup marks the return of Kawasaki's famed supernaked series, this time meaner, more powerful, and smarter than ever. Available in both Standard and SE variants for international markets, the Z1100 is shaping up to be one of Kawasaki’s most exciting launches this year.

Familiar Yet Fierce Design

At first glance, the Z1100 may remind us of its predecessor, the Z1000, and that’s no accident. Kawasaki has retained its signature “Sugomi” design philosophy, which gives the motorcycle its unmistakable, aggressive stance. From the sharp twin-pod LED headlights to the edgy tail section, the Z1100 maintains the predator-like posture that has made the Z family an icon.

Major Leap in Technology

While the looks are familiar, the Z1100 brings a dramatic shift in technology compared to the relatively bare-bones Z1000. Taking center stage is a five-inch TFT display, which not only presents vital information but also connects to smartphones via Bluetooth. Riders can now access turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS notifications, and fine-tune the bike’s advanced rider aids directly from the screen, including five-axis IMU-based two power modes, three levels of traction control, bidirectional quick shifter, cruise control, and dual-channel ABS. These upgrades place the Z1100 firmly in line with the latest generation of high-tech superbikes.

Engine and Performance

Powering the Z1100 is the proven 1,099cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, borrowed from Kawasaki’s sport-touring machine, the Ninja 1100SX. Tuned to deliver 136 horsepower and 113Nm of torque, the motor promises strong performance for both city rides and open-road thrills.

The Z1100 is constructed on an aluminium twin-tube frame, paired with SFF-BP front forks and a horizontal back-link rear suspension. At the same time, a 310 mm discs with monobloc calipers deliver braking power.

What sets them apart?

The Z1100 SE gets Brembo monobloc calipers, discs, and steel-braided brake lines, while the standard model uses Tokico hardware. Both feature fully adjustable Showa front forks, but the SE steps up with an Ohlins S46 rear shock with remote preload adjuster. Both ride on Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires for excellent grip.

Pricing and Availability

The Kawasaki Z1100 is priced from £11,099 for the Standard variant, with the SE priced at £12,699. While the motorcycle has been confirmed for global markets, there is no official word yet on its availability in the Philippines.
