Yamaha unveils the Aerox-E, the electric version of the Aerox with a 106km Range.

Yamaha has taken another bold step into the electric segment with the launch of the Aerox-E, the battery-powered version of its popular Aerox scooter. While it retains the sporty and aggressive styling of the original Aerox, this new model swaps the combustion engine for a clean, efficient electric motor.
Under the sleek bodywork lies a 9.4kW motor that delivers 48Nm of torque, offering quick acceleration and smooth performance. Powering the motor is a 3kWh dual battery pack made with high-energy cells for what Yamaha calls “extraordinary performance.” The Aerox-E boasts a certified range of 106 kilometers, though real-world mileage may vary slightly. The removable batteries can be charged at home, and Yamaha plans to offer multiple charging options for added convenience.
Riders can choose between three ride modes: Eco, Standard, and Power, as well as a Boost function for an extra punch during overtakes. There’s even a reverse mode to make maneuvering in tight spaces easier.
The Aerox-E also gets a modern feature set, including a smart key system, a five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation. On the safety front, Yamaha equips the scooter with single-channel ABS and traction control for a secure and confident ride.
While pricing and availability details have yet to be announced, the Aerox-E signals Yamaha’s growing commitment to electric mobility, combining performance, technology, and convenience in one futuristic package.
